What cannot be copied? An experience. We can “repeat” an appealing design, create a consonant slogan, conduct a similar advertising campaign. But there is nothing that could replace real, true experience. The founder of the watch company Denissov, Vladimir A. Denissov, started his watch business in the distant 1951. He has gone an uneasy road, beginning as a usual craftsman and finally becoming a proprietor of its own company. At first, he built his career at the 2nd Moscow Watch factory, then he worked in the Special watchwork Design Office (SKB ChM), thereafter he lead the Research Institute of the watch-producing industry, and then he continued his career as a chief constructor of the First Moscow Watch factory “Poljot”. Vladimir A.Denissov has participated in development of the chronograph movement of 3133 caliber, has designed the first Russian quartz movement.
In the 90s, in an environment of the general economic recession, the watch-producing industry endured hard times. By setting up its own company, V.A.Denissov started his further development. In 1994, the First Moscow Watch factory “Poljot” served as a basis for setup of the then unique Russian company producing watches with a privet label. Throughout the years of its operation, the company has acquired the reputation of a reliable manufacturer, and has won recognition of such customers as the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, certain large Russian companies and banks. Denissov watches have been chosen by V.V.Putin as a reception present.
Today, Denissov brand is opening new horizons. The founder’s business is continued by his son, Ilya V.Denissov. It is under his management that the company has started to manufacture collection watches with an original design under own Denissov brand. The slogan of the company “Mekhanika Vremeni” (Time Mechanics) fully reflects the essence of the Denissov watch brand. This means interlacement of past traditions with modern spirits, bright and original designer ideas based upon long-term expertise in the watch-producing industry and top-level professionalism of the company’s personnel
Design
The design of our watches is developed by the entire group of experts, including constructors, artists, and designers. For them, the starting point is their aspiration to create their own unrepeatable and catchy style, solely typical for the “Denissov” brand.
We do not reproduce the models already created by other companies, but rather develop the design of our watches from the very beginning. We do not seek to limit ourselves with one field. In our collections, you will certainly find some models fitting you individually. We manufacture austere-styled elegant classic watches supplemented with retro-motives, as well as unusual and original sports models possessing high technological characteristics, various mechanical-based functions, and finally the watches performed in military style that is so popular at present.
Our watches are collection-type watches. We create series of watches for the commemorative dates and world-history events. All series are limited: each series is made in limited quantity of pieces. The backcovers of all our watches carry individual series number.
The “Denissov” watches conform to the European quality standards. They are manufactured using wearproof materials; bracelets and straps are designed to be comfortable, and many models include an anti-shock movement and an increased water-resistance. All watches are supplied with genuine-leather straps, and their cases are manufactured of high-quality steel, thus making such watches, also with respect to their sapphire glass and high-style box, a worthy present for any occasion. The Denissov watches are excellent collection watches with affordable prices.
Movements. The movement is a heart of watch. When choosing the supplier for this primary watch’ component, one should never agree to compromise. In manufacturing of the “Denissov” watches, we use movements of the best Swiss manufacturer, ETA, and also the famous Russian chronograph of MakTime (Former “Poljot” brand) , which is the best Russian-made movement with chronograph function.
Notwithstanding the global trend of an increasing market share of quartz watches, the pure mechanical watches do continue to arouse interest from the part of lovers of high-end watch art. This is a pleasant fact: after all, mechanical watches are intended for genuine experts, since they require sophisticated manual tuning during an assembly process, while the majority of manufacturing and assembly operations in respect of quartz watches are performed automatically.
